USATF New National Record Holder Sean Lee 5’3″
I know you think I quit my TrackMom.com job(1 dollar/year pay) this past week, but nothing could be further from the truth. I like hundreds heck maybe thousands of Track Moms around the country were doing over the past 10 days……..Preparing for graduations, promotions,AAU National Qualifiers,USATF Association meets, end of school parties at school,at home at resturaunts do I need to go on…This has been a very, very busy week for this TrackMom but now I am ready Almost…to get back to a regular busy schedule.
Since I have last been here at TrackMom.com Lauren has qualified for Our Regions Championships in both AAU and USATF. Most recently the AAU National Qualifier in San Diego. Because our region of the country doesn’t compete much at AAU the meet was very small as you can see on the results and this year they were short of volunteers but we got through it.They usually host a very nice small meet but I think because the USATF JO’s are here in California the meet in SD may have been less volunteers than normal.
Our USATF meet had some great races, a big highlight was the new National Record in the Bantam Boys High Jumper Sean Lee.The crowd was really into it and the meet even briefly paused to watch the great jumps this young athlete was doing.
Now, the top 8 of each event has earned the right to compete for their team and region at the highest level competition of the season. The USATF Junior Olympics. It’s that time……Journey to the Junior Olympics.
Gotta Run it’s Olympic Day at The Home Depot Center , a few of the kids from our team are going today.I am the group leader…Be back later with pictures and a fun story..
