Well we in So Cal all heard all week a big storm was brewing and it was gonna rain..so we prepared again for a rainy meet,and Saturday morning the weather girl said low chance..We said YEAH!!!! It was dry outside of our home and all the way to Los Osos High School Ranch Cucamonga ,CA (45 miles or so east of Los Angeles and our home as well) it was dry until we hit the off ramp to the high school…It was wet not raining and for the next few hours we were all feeling pretty good Lauren ran the midget girl 200m at around 10:30am and even posted a very exciting PR of 26.79 for her season opener.
Then the weather began to go south and rain was in and out and the wind started to blow and we are all huddled under our canopies wishing we or the rain would go.
By 2:30pm hail, rain, wind and cold took over our meet and about 3 o’clockish I think the meet was called and 10 minutes later the stand were empty…You didn’t have to tell those parents including myself twice. So the 4×400 was canceled Lauren’s other event of the day and we were packing up fast.
All and all a good day rain and all…. Next week Bay City All Comers
