Five years ago we started a meet that we hoped would grow into an annual tradition for the many athletes who wanted to compete at a high level but could not make the multiple rounds of competition that competing in some national competitions required. We vowed to make the process easy, uncomplicated, youth-friendly and fun. During those first few years a lot of brave and trusting individuals, including Track Mom, supported our efforts. They came on the strength of our reputation and the conviction of our promise to put on the best Youth Track & Field meet that we could. With the experience that 40 years in the business provides, we attempted to make good on our promise and now the United Age Group Track Coaches Association Youth Invitational is entering its 5th year of competition and stands ‘Toe to Toe’ with the other established Youth Invitationals.
The 2010 UAGTCA Youth Invitational is expected to draw its largest crowd ever. The competition fields are sure to be deep and talented, the awards as plentiful and prestigious as any youth track & field event ever and the logistics and officiating as good as they always are.
The UAGI has been largely an East Coast event with visitors from Barbados, Bermuda, Canada and Jamaica to give it truly an International flavor. We want to extend our reach to the west and Invite athletes who just might be in the Pennsylvania area to come and check us out. We promise that you will find the meet an athletic and social happening that will make your trip East worthwhile.
