Murrieta Night Hawks All Comers Meet 2.20.10

One of  So Cal’s first youth  track events of the  outdoor season also marks the end of the high school all-comers series in which high school athletes can prepare for the upcoming track season. Located in the center of three major counties, the Murrieta High School Nighthawks are hosting a meet that will give the opportunity for both high school and youth athletes to compete in one arena.

On the youth end, Dominique Williams of Millennium Express San Diego, hopes to keep his momentum going after racing to a Bronze medal at this past summer’s Junior Olympics In Greensbro,North Carolina. and  a strong season in football, Dominique’s  track idol is none other than the infamous Usain Bolt.  Head Coach of Millennium Express,  Duane James has done an excellent job of ensuring that Dominique gets the best training possible to guide his talent. The 2008 Region and L.A. Jets Invitational winning team is one of the largest and most successful youth teams in California.

At the high school division, one of the fastest 100 meter sprinters in the state, Ervin Simmons is coming back healthy after an injury plagued 2009 season. His 60 meter time should be something to look out for. Other notable athletes from all over Southern California will converge in this meet designed for both coaches and athletes. Coaches have the opportunity to “coach” right on the track with the freedom not typically granted at major invitationals. In addition, high school athletes will have the rare opportunity to post a national mark in the 1500 meter event while youth runners will have the opportunity to run a 60 meter event.

This meet promises to be a  great  meet to introduce the 2010 outdoor trackand field season. Put it on your calendar now!
