How Comfy Are Your Kids Track Feet?

Red Crocs Are They Still Hot??

I read an article recently that was very interesting  about the Crocs brand of shoe. The article “Once-Trendy Crocs Could Be on Their Last Legs” in the Washington Post talked about the crocs brand swirling the drain and in the near future Once-Trendy Crocs could be on their last legs headed for deep discounts because the company is about to go bankrupt. I also saw and ad where they are creating a new style for athletes as a after competition shoe.Hey I think i am on to something…..

Lauren before JO’s asked me to buy her a new pair  because she had out grown her last pair and she wanted a pair that matched her uniform. She says that they are very comfortable after the meet. She doesn’t mind the clunky looks. ( I kinda like that about her not overly concerned about what others think)  Being the mom that is always looking for a deal I have noticed lately I could grab a pair for half the retail price .Sure enough I found a pair for 14 bucks. Mom and kid both happy.

So you say what does this have to do  with my kids feet? Okay, I am getting to that..  I am all about comfort and cute looks but sometimes you just can’t have it all. In walks the Croc. Yes they are a little funny looking but as many experts state they are great for the comfort  and nice support of your feet.

A few points about shoes and your kids feet.

I used to  think that a flip flop was a fine shoe for after the meet and everywhere inbetween here in hot Cali .Comfortable and easy to bring along.  I was was right and wrong.  The right part is that flip flops are comfortable. The wrong part is that according  to the experts the shoe with no  back heel strap to hold the foot flush to the inner sole doesn’t do your feet or your kids feet any favors. With 26 bones, 33 joints and 100 muscles, ligaments and tendons, the feet our kids use to fly on the track need a little TLC off the track too. Sure they can wear the training shoes they came with but after a long hot track day the Croc seems to be perfect for the tired little feet of a youth track runner.

For those track moms  not wearing high heels to a meet ,these shoes are great for climbing up and down the bleachers. I have no interest in the company ,recieve no monies for discussing these funny looking shoes, but I do know that they are comfortable, they last almost forever on the mature foot, great to walk around the backyard in, and even yes even the track meets for the kids and a few fashion oblivious comfort seeking Moms and a few Dads too!

My brother-in law doesn’t go into surgery without them having to stand long long hours in the operating room and maybe now that the company is having some trouble you can grab yourself and your kids a cheap pair of foot comfort… Hey lets start a track trend Crocs For All under 15 bucks while they last…
