Happy Parents with Bantam Girl Lauren Rain Williams 2 (3 time as of 12.09) Gold Medalist 2009 USATF JO’s
Well, for me it has been a very eventful, uneventful week. I look forward to watching one of the most exciting meets of the season. The AAU Chamopionship Day .I regret that I am only one person and can’t talk to each and every athlete and their parents.I wish I had a great photo opt and a great story to follow up with all the athletes. I know that there are many meaningful stories out there and I hope you will share yours over the next 7 months during the off season. It has been my joy and pleasure to watch many of these athletes continue their great developing track careers.
I hope you will continue to visit TrackMom.com in the off season to find training tips ,nutritional information athlete highlights and encoragement as you nurture and love your athlete to the next track season. Perhaps you may be moved to write a guest contributing article or simply a short comment to express yourself and your track journey.
Track parents have alot to share with each other and I hope you will. Please upload your pictures on to the TrackMom Community Here.
Consider starting a lively disscussion or on going group that share the interest you have. That could be the sprints, hurdles distance field events just to name a few.You have expertise and information we all can benefit from. In the off season lets all share best practices on,training and nutrition, traveling and eating on the road and mental strategies and techniques that can enhance our athletes track experience and ours too! Share with each other in person over the phone or online.
Please don’t be shy….E-mail me and let me know just how I can make TrackMom.com even better in the coming year, years to come.
I want to say thanks to all the parents out there that share their stories of victories , frustrations, hard work and greet me as an old friend when I see you at the meets. Thanks for allowing me to share your children’s victories with other to inspire and drive a desire for the same in themselves. The abilty to be the best you can be and know it is an awesome thing. We are a part of a family, “Our” track family and everytime you greet me or Henry or my daughter with kind words and loving congratualtuions, I know it even more. This as I have said many times before is my greatest joy in being “TrackMom” meeting parents that share the same enthuisiasm for the sport I have loved every since I could run and beat the boys on the block with the street lights on : – )

Thank you Lorraine for a great site full of so much good information. I always look forward to coming here to read the latest and will continue to do so in the ‘off’ season. Oh and thanks for the visiting and chatting poolside at AAU, it was so nice to be able to talk with someone that understands the ups and downs of track.
