Day? What Day Is It Again?

Midget Boys 4×800 Top 8

Day 2 of our the trip day 2 of  the JO’s

It was our first day in Greensbro, NC and the excitement has already begun. We had breakfast and went guide to everywhere we needed to go today and it was very helpful.

Joanna Hayes, Carl Lewis and Dan O’ Brien were at the meet with smiles for the kids and lots of autographs too!  I really wanted to go up for my own auto graph, but just admired from a short distance thinking just how lucky the kids were that these great athletes had taken the time to encourage them on their  journey.

Lots of happy faces and anticipation as I watched people come and go. I saw a little tension too as many parents and coaches  were simply trying to get thing and people ,athletes organized ans settled. Everything from buying  wrist bands to getting water for the athletes. I think most of the day I was in the stressed , excited mode thinking about races to come, getting enough  Lauren rest, good food and just trying to get over the previous days “STUFF”

As always the meet was full of excitement with California leading the charge to the podium with more than a few well earned medals today. Here is a brief update on the excitement. For the complete results for today and all day go to   2009 USATF Results .

**The  Speed City ,Los Angeles, CA Midget Boys 4x800m relay do what they came to do  National and Junior Olympic Record  with a smashing time of 9:25.90
