Less Than 10 Hours Until Take Off

Controlled  Packing Chaos.. Almost there…

Well, Lauren’s double digit extravaganza  (10 years old finally)  weekend is over. The beach bonfire party and swim party the next day at Grandparents house, topped off a very busy summer thus far.The past 6 weeks have  been full of training, beaches, movies, sleep overs eating out, amusment parks, out of town guests and now 2 weeks of Junior Olympics.  Lauren is ready to roll…… The last practice of the year was 8am today. Time to see what focus and hard work can do.

I know it’s crazy for me to be writing right now since I only have 50% packing done/Lauren and Henry are way a head of me. In my defense,I have to help every one then do my own too!! Packing, plain and simply sucks…Sorry ,there is just no other way to put it. No matter how organized I think I am. It just still seems like I never have enough time.

Thanks to a few appointments that were cancelled today,I had a couple of hours I thought I had lost, and boy did  they come in very handy . TJ Maxx and Marshall’s last minute pick -ups to name a couple of pit stops on the road to Greensbro. My friend Jackie reminds be how much I depend on TJ Maxx and Marshall as my go to for a  quick deal  place. Jackie is right….She’s always right. : – )   Wish she could have helped me today.

How Does A TrackMom Decide On What To Wear For Two weeks On The Road???

A recent poll cited In the UK says it takes women “almost one year of their lives to decide what to wear”. Yikes!! 1 year just to pick out an outfit.  Picking outfits for work, dating, gym, dinner parties, TRACK MEETS , holidays and many other activities cause we women a whopping  287 days trying to make a  decision.

The results further that most women will be spending approximately 16 minutes on weekday mornings and 14 minutes on a Saturday or Sunday mornings selecting just the right outfit to wear every where she choses to go.That includes TRACK MEETS. (At Least I think so…)

We women also spend “almost spend about 52 minutes in front of our closets when it comes to choosing clothes for a vacation at sea.I may be pushing it a bit, but I think it is just about the same for a eventful, exciting “vacation” in a romantic city like Greensbro or Des Moines. Once we get there an additional 5-7 minutes/day will be taken on the final decision for each day. I am tired just thinking about planning, what to wear. Amazingly enough or not..We  women also talk, yep talk about clothes or 60 hours (64 to be exact).

The researchers just like me and many other women know that we woman have very strong feelings about what we wears. “Whatever the occasion your clothes portray an image. For me the track meet attire represents just how good I am able to some how try to stay cool in a hot stadium.

Tomorrow is traveling day. Come back and check on our progress with the flight and finding out way in North Carolina.

Rooting for you guys. I’m originally from Winston-Salem, NC. Thirty minutes from Greensboro. It is a romantic area. You just have to know where to go. Hope you take the time to go to Washington D.C. area after the meet. Would be a great learning experience for Lauren. Williamsburgh, VA would also be memorable. Many great Universities are very close to Greensboro. Might be neat to travel to Chapel Hill and Durham to see UNC & Duke campus.

    Bring the Bacon Hom!
