Chino Pumas Youth Track Meet Wrap Up

Lauren and teammate Jaylah  and Akaylah eating early in the morning

Saturday we got an early start to the Chino ,Ca for our second developmental meet of the season. Dark when we arrived at the track it was chilly but as the sun came up we thought it would get warmer. It took a longer than expected to get to a very mild 65 and most of the day was a little less than that. Yes,we are very spoiled here in LA.

The meet  was run from my vantage point well. As usual there were problems getting started with the host  team. They ran out out of events stickers first thing inthe morning but I guessthey worked it out because I didn’t hear much about that by late morning. The concession stand seem to have food people were enjoying, the regular  food, hot dogs hot links, fried chicken .I saw the chicken and it looked good and I saw lots of smiling faces so Imagine it was.

These developmental meets always seem to go a little to long.I ‘m not complaining just an observation.

There were so many athltes it was hard to keep any track of who was who.I know many of the athletes .I had intended on posting the stand out times but many of the  race results were not posted when I left at 6:25pm so i will have ot wait to check it out.Our assocaition  teams do a rather poor job of posting results so the three meets already run since last Saturday still have no results up sorry folks.I know you really want to know what happening in  SoCal I am getting tons of e-mails but , they are S_L_O_W.  What can I say. Maybe it will get better in a few weeks when the times are done via Accu Track

All in all okay meet. I am looking forward to the LA Jets Relay Carnival this coming Saturday.

Until Next time
