Jalen Rasheed Nailor Fastest Sub-Bantam boy AAU 100m Champion looks to continue his dominance this season in the Bantam divison. Rasheed is no stranger to Trackmom and has been highlighted here before.Check it out here . Jalen took first in the 60m 8.35 and the 200m 27.90 this past weeknd at the Western Zone Junior Olympics in Flagstaff AZ. Looking poised and ready to do what he came for victory, Rasheed ran a beautiful 60m at 8.35 1/100th of a second off the meet and indoor world youth 9 yearold record set by another phenom Paul Lucus Of Arizona’s Do Right Track Team .
The 200m offered all the same excitement and the same place 1st. My husband calls him “Mr.Professional” because of his great work ethic and maturity on and off the field This was his first indoor meet but I am sure it won’t me his last. Congratulations “Speedy. Ironically the bantam girl Lauren Williams and Bantam boy Rasheed both took home three golds with one meet record in the 4x300m relay, Lauren coming in with the 2nd over all bantams boys and girls time only to Rasheed. (think football would have given her an edge?) At AAU they both were the National Champions inthe100m and ranked #1 in the ’99 divison in 2008
Speedy has just transitioned over from football as many do , but he loves them both and put just as much heart into each sport each season. check out his YouTube videos and judge for yourself
