I can hardly believe a whole year has come and gone since I wrote my first post December 1st 2007.
I have learned so much over the last year about how to write meaningful thoughts on the sport I love most in the entire world Track and Field. I have learn that track parents are very much the same all over the U.S. and the world . When it comes to track and field ,we all want good coaching ,good information, timely track meets ,clean bathrooms (is that just me?? LOL) and happy healthy children that learn not only how to run but how to compete on and off the track. Athletes that are having fun, yes fun.
I have been encouraged and inspired by our youth athletes determination and resilience under the sometimes intense pressure of competition. Lastly I have learned what it means to sacrifice willingly and happily for the dreams we carry for our youth athletes, as well as the dreams they create for themselves as well. Daily I talk via phone or e-mail with track parents all over from New Zealand and Florida ,Washington and Illinois and we all speak the same language, we just want the best track experience for all youth athletes, a chance to be the best they can be.
Thank-You for coming along on my journey of discovery and illumination of Youth Track and Field, highlighting the next generation of American Track & Field Icons, Stars and Future World Record Holders , thanks for clicking over daily to see just what’s up daily in Youth Track and making our site a must go to for “Everything Youth Track & Field”.
My goal for the first 6 months was just to see if anyone would click and check it out and I was so happy and humbled by the response..My second was to create the best youth track site with timely information and lots of athlete highlights, to provide information all parents of track athletes want and find it in one easy to find place on the web. As the next year of the site rolls into place I want more of the same and I think we are on our way with the “Extreme Makeover” of TrackMom.com and our great addition of TM “The TrackMom.com Comunity” I have recieved great feed back and the best is yet to come with give aways and great expanded content and lot and lots of pictures and video’s of your favortite youth athletes.
I look forward to many more getting to know our wonderful Youth Track Family. Track and Field being the most participated sport among High School athletes, our youth track athletes desevers a place to call “The Home of Youth track and Field” , I believe it is right here. So join with me and many other parents and let’s Celebrate and Illuminate Youth Track and Field right here at TrackMom.com
