AAU National Cross Country Championships
 
    The 2008  AAU Youth National Cross Country Championships will be held in Decatur, Alabama on December 6. Entry deadline is November 30.
 

 

 

 

Age Groups and Distances:
   
    Primary-2K
    Bantam and Midget-3K
    Youth-4K
    Intermediate and Young-5K
 
   Trackmom is pleased to note  that the National  XC meet director will be Chad Culver, who served as   assistant to Charles “Coach O” Oliver at last summer’s Junior Olympics in Detroit. Expect a well-run meet with an emphasis on customer service.

There are some New Things for 2008  one big one is the chip timing. Congratulations to AAU for implementing chip-timing for the first time at this year’s XC Nationals. All athletes will wear chips tied onto each shoe that will trigger the electronic  timing device when they cross the finish line.
