Over at the Happy Housewives Club, Darla Shine has a great idea for used but still very good youth athlete clothing and shoes. Darla Says,

What if we could each start a “Sports Equipment Swap” in our towns and communities? Think of how many athletic shoes alone must end up at the Salvation Army! So, let’s get started!”

I agree we need to get started in a swap or a lower price to help all ofus out in these tough economic times.

There are many uniforms and track shoes that only get worn for a part of the season(often the end of the season  parents have to purchase new spikes ’cause they out grow them over the 7 months or they want something new for JO’s ,either way there are some spikes that haven’t been worn much that could be use to make another athlete just as happy the second time around as the first time.

Check your youth athletes closet and see what you can come up with as you have a little down time in the off season.

Until Next Time,
