Zuri Reid A League Of Your Own For The Race YOU Own

Zuri Reid (age 7), won the Girl’s 800M run (Primary) on 7/30/08.  Between the nerves of being at the stadium and crying after she won her first Jr. Olympic Gold medal, She was ranked #10 (2:55) coming into the Jr. Olympics Zuri having little  aggressive competition during the season, her devoted parents were concern how she would rise to the occasion and RISE she did .A personal best 2:43.79!!!  Ranked #1 in the nation and some excited parents to boot. See Zuri Go!!

She also ran anchor on the 4X100 Primary girls relay and they came in 5th. With a personal best of 1:04.99.

Zuri’s Mom told TrackMom. We are very proud of them all….especially the lead runner who had a fever of 102 the entire week of the Jr. Olympics. Look for Zuri and her speedy ways back for more of the same next year.

Congratulations Primary Girls 800m National Champion Zuri Reid
