The 2008 USATF Junior Olympics …..Victoria Powell

 Here is the first of many highlights and pictures of the medalist and participating athletes of the  2008 USATF Track and Field Junior Olympics  and AAU National Junior Olympic Games

The “Queen” Victoria Has Arrived

 I began calling her the “Queen” a few weeks before USATF after watching her burn up the track at the  UAGTCA Invitational in Philly, early July. She was effortless and poised as she ran  toward the finish line and this didn’t change over the next couple of weeks heading toward Gold in the Triathlon,200m and 400m At USATF Junior Olympics.

 

Victoria Powell Elite Youth Rankings Bantam #1 200m 27.00 #1 400m  #1 Triathlaon and #7 100m 13.5

  USATF 200 Meter Final

 Victoria is a straight ”A” student and her favorite subject is math.  She consistently scores in the “Advanced Proficiency” tier on all standardized testing.  She attended Montclair State University’s Gifted and Talented Program for 3 years.  She is a Junior Black Belt in Tae Kwan Do, plays basketball and the piano.  She was selected to participate in an invitational WNBA Summer Basketball Camp in New York this week.  She loves to draw and build things.

Her most recent acomplishments are:

2008 USATF Jr. Olympics bantam 200 meters, 400 meters, triathlon (national record).
2008 USATF Youth Championships bantam 100, 200, triathlon.
2008 UAGTCA championships 100, 400, high jump.
2008 Colgate Games elementary 200.
2008 14 and under indoor championships bantam 55, 200.

2007 AAU Jr. Olympics sub bantam 200.
2007 AAU Club Championships 200.
2007 Colgate Games elementary 55.

 New Jersey state record holder bantam 200 and 400.

2007 AAU Club championships runner up sub bantam 100.

In addition, Victoria ia a Tae kwon do junior black belt.

So you can see she can kick..both on and off the track
