Congrats Lauren!! My 8 year old daughter likes to follow your progress and is working hard to be as fast as you! She was excited to hear that you got “Fastest Kid in LA” title. We have a question for you….What is the number one most important thing you do on race day that you think helps you win? Is it a special warm-up, a certain breakfast, a way you mentally prepare yourself? Of course the years of training is what has prepared you long-term, but what about on race day?

Thanks for visting TrackMom.com Wow your question is a big one with a more complex answer than you may have time to hear .. : ) The short concise version is preparation for a meet starts long before the morning of. In our house hold we are passionate about things we love, Track is one of those things.Discussion about aspects of the race and goals are always swirling around in obvious and not so obvious ways. We tie her track success and goals into all aspects of her other passions singing,piano even volleyball. There is always a lot of talking and reminding of previous favorite races and goals met.
Good food, good rest, good mental attitude is our mantra…
