Special TrackMom Week……. Gold Medal Mom Contest
Special TrackMom Week…..Are You A Gold Medal Mom???
There’s a lot of information in this post today please read all the way down or you will miss the best part!!
Yes it’s me. You aren’t seeing things, me and Coach Henry, going through drills before my race the 100m in Long Beach last year May 25th.
I am a TrackMom. Lauren challenged me to run in a Master’s Meet and I couldn’t say no. So I trained with her and in May I got my own (two) gold medals. I gained a whole new respect for what we have her doing week in and week out. After I finish the 200m (you had to be there) I thought wow I can’ t believe I did this regularly for years as a youth and actually signed up to do it and paid for this as an adult. : )
This week is special for mom’s and I wanted to honor mom’s out there that prepare meals, train, drive to practices, fly across the country for a championship instead of a Hawaiian vacation, help to much on the special project because your child was praciticing a little late, make sure you they are eating right, sleeping right, and having some fun in the mix.
I can’t believe it almost Mother’s Day, where did the time go since last year. The picture of me and Lauren that is on the page “I Am a Track Mom” was taken last Mothers Day in Las Vegas at a track meet. This year we actually are going to have a “free” day. I really don’t mind either way it always fun at the meets.
